Make a Gift to Lurie Children’s through a Financial or Estate Plan

Create a Legacy of Hope and Healing through Planned Giving

Gifts through a financial or estate plan shape the pediatric care of tomorrow and impact generations to come. Many Lurie Children’s supporters have chosen to include a gift in their will or through an IRA, Donor-Advised Fund or other beneficiary designation. When you include a gift to Lurie Children’s in your will or through a beneficiary designation, you help fund research to fund cures for pediatric illnesses, build kid-friendly spaces, strengthen local neighborhoods and help families when they need it the most. Your gift will help give every child the promise of a healthier future.

If you have included or are considering including a gift to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Foundation through your estate plan, we’d love to hear from you. Conversations about gift designations, honoring a loved one, and recognition options are encouraged, all to ensure the donor's wishes and legacy are understood and fulfilled.

Life Income Gifts

A charitable gift annuity is a way you can make a gift to Lurie Children’s and receive fixed payments for life.

This arrangement involves giving assets in exchange for a stream of income payments. At your death, Lurie Children’s receives the remaining assets, which will be used to support our mission. There are numerous variations and options for customization.

Please contact us to learn more about this type of gifft.

How does a charitable gift annuity work?

  1. When you transfer cash or securities to create a charitable gift annuity at Lurie Children's, you receive a lifetime stream of fixed payments. The remaining value of your gift supports the mission of Lurie Children's.
  2. The fixed payments can be quite high depending on your age, and a portion of each payment may even be tax-free.
  3. You will receive a charitable income tax deduction for the gift portion of the annuity.
  4. You also receive satisfaction, knowing that you will be strengthening the future of pediatric medicine and science at Lurie Children's.
